COOKIE POLICY

– cookie di navigazione o di sessione, che garantiscono la normale navigazione e fruizione del sito web (permettendo, ad esempio, di realizzare un acquisto o autenticarsi per accedere ad aree riservate); essi sono di fatto necessari per il corretto funzionamento del sito;

– cookie analytics, assimilati ai cookie tecnici laddove utilizzati direttamente dal gestore del sito per raccogliere informazioni, in forma aggregata, sul numero degli utenti e su come questi visitano il sito stesso, al fine di migliorare le performance del sito;

WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies are small text files sent from the website to the user device (usually through the browser), where they are stored to be re-transmitted to the website at the next same user’s visit. A cookie can not retrieve any other data from the user’s hard disk nor be used to disseminate computer viruses nor acquire email addresses. Each cookie is unique to the user’s web browser. Some cookies functions can be delegated to other technologies. In this document, the term “cookie” refers to both the cookies, properly said, and to similar technologies.

Through cookies, it is possible to record information about your preferences, like the surfed pages or downloads of files from our website or any other similar actions carried out by browsing our site.

FIRST PARTY OR THIRD PARTY COOKIES Cookies may be first or third party cookies, where “first party” cookies are those developed by the owner of the website, while “third party” cookies are those developed by third party companies.

TYPES OF COOKIES

There are various types of cookies:

Technical cookies Technical cookies are those used for the only purpose to “transmit a notification on an electronic communication network, or transmitting  of information to the company’s service provider to the extent strictly necessary so that service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user can be furnished” (see Article 122, paragraph 1 of the Italian Privacy Code).

They are not used for other purposes and they are normally installed directly by the website owner or the operator. They can be divided into:

  • Navigation or session cookies which ensure that website navigation and use are normal (for example, allowing you to purchase or login to access to restricted areas); they are necessary for the proper functioning of the website;
  • Analytics cookies, similar to technical cookies when used directly by the website owner to collect information, in an aggregate form, about the number of users and how they visit the website, to improve the website performances;
  • Functional cookies, which enable the user to browse according to a series of selected criteria (for example, the language, selected products for purchase) in order to improve the service provided by the website browsing. To install these cookies, preventive consent of users is not required (for further information, please check the Cookies paragraph below on cookies management).

Profiling cookies Profiling cookies are designed to create user profiles and they are used to send advertisement messages according to the preferences expressed by a user during his/her on-line browsing.

Consent form the data subject is required to use profiling cookies. In accordance with the provision no. 229 of 08 May 2014, if profiling cookies are present, users should be able to authorize or deny the consent to the installation of profiling cookies.

When there are third party cookies, the website has no direct control on individual cookies and it cannot control them (it can neither install them directly nor delete them). You can manage these cookies through your browser setting (follow the instructions below) or through the sites listed in the “Manage cookies” section.

  • Temporary or session (session cookies): used to store temporary information, they enable to link the actions of a user during a specific browser session and they are deleted form the device upon closing your web browser;
  • Permanent (persistent cookies): used to store information, such as login name and password, to avoid that the user having to retype them each time he/she visits a specific site. They remain stored in the device even after the web browser has been closed.
